Jim Boulay
I first started working in glass through soft glass bead classes eight years ago. I then moved on to intermediate and advanced borosilicate classes with Bronwen Heilman.
Some artists I have taken workshops from and have inspired me include: John Kabuki, Emilio Santini, Beau Barrett, Bandhu Scott Dunham among others. Stretch your skills by learning from others.
Four years ago, I was fortunate enough to set up a studio in my home where I currently work. This has allowed me to learn from many different very skilled artists and advance my flameworking artistry.
Two years ago, I began learning the art of faceting both gemstones and borosilicate glass which has added an entirely new dimension to my borosilicate glass marbles.
I display my work on Instagram @boulayjim.
