This design is one I keep going back to. In 2012, I taught a painting class (reverse and direct painting on glass) in Rudston England at Tuffnell’s Glass. It was such a great class, so much magic happening during that trip. On my flight home, I started drawing on my ipad cover. And it turned into these scrimshaw style images. This original style was called “The Rudston Flycatchers”.
These Hand Painted Scrimshaw Style Tea Party Earrings Have a little bit of the mad hatter feel about them. They are all hand drawn and painted with powdered glass.
These are fused glass from the beer bottles, with pigment added to create a beautiful yellow/orange hue.
Don’t forget to check out the backs. Just as fun as the front!
They are approx. 1.5″ in square. From the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the bead, this pair is 2.25″ long
Super duper light and really cool! You will be a hit at any event!
